( Overview )
Cloud storage that keeps your files in a private Telegram channel, with a Google Drive-style app on top.
Telestorage uses your own private Telegram channel as a hard drive. It keeps the index, cuts large files into parts, checks every byte on the way in and out with SHA-256, and puts it all behind a Drive-style app for desktop and phone.
Most of the work went into speed. Downloads use several parallel streams per bot, read further ahead the longer you read, and ask a second bot for any block that stalls. On my connection that raised average download speed from 4.1 to 6.5 MiB/s.
( Highlights )
Files over 2 GB
Files bigger than Telegram's 2 GB limit are split into parts and stay resumable after a reload or crash.
Fast streaming
Growing readahead, kept-alive connections and fallback requests across bots. Videos play and seek without downloading the whole file.
Full file manager
Photos timeline, version history, deduplication, share links with expiry and passwords, file requests, a ⌘K palette and an installable PWA.
Works on free hosting
The file index is backed up to Telegram within seconds, so hosts that wipe the disk on restart lose nothing.
